Valencias are sweet and juicy, making this very popular here in Australia. Often used for juicing as well as eating, the Valencia has a bright fresh wrapped in thin rind.
You’ll have to wait until summer to taste this variety (lucky Navels are good in winter!).
- Freshest in summer, November to February.
- Good for juicing, fruit salads, platters, school snacks.
Store in fridge crisper, stem down, when ripe. Keep at room temp to ripen green ones.
