Rockmelon

There’s a lot of names for such a common orange fruit. It’s always been rockmelon to us in Brissy, but many customers ask for cantaloupes, sweet melon and even spanspek (which is the term in South Africa).

It’s part of the broader Cucurbitaceae family which means watermelons, so yummmy!!

This is less watery (just...still 90% water) and sugary, a firmer textured flesh and low, low in joules.

Store in fridge only if ripe. 

Use for salads, snacks, fruit platters, starters.
