Pistachio
- Good for soaking and blending into almond milk, roasting into a great snack or spice mix, salads, crumb coatings, nut butters, garnishes, baked goods (muffins, biscuits, muesli).
- Store in an airtight container or jar in a dark pantry, for a month or two.
Did you know? They're teardrop-shaped edible seeds that are the fruit of the almond tree. Almonds are a high-fat food, but largely a monounsaturated fat which helps to protect the heart, with fibre, protein, vitamin E, selenium, zinc, calcium, magnesium and B vitamins, especially folate and biotin (vitamin B7).
