Oranges, Cara Cara
It's rosy-orange inside, and just as beautiful to eat. The Cara Cara is a mutation of the Washington Navel, similar to this variety but with deep pink flesh, a tad less acidic, and hints of cherry flavour.
- Freshest in June to October (winter).
- Good for raw in salads, 'car fuel' and school snacks (easy to peel), juicing, grating and cooking.
- Store in fridge crisper. Place cut orange segments in airtight container before chilling.
