This curly, or salad kale, is nutritionist's pet. You could say it is cabbage leaf.
Chances are you're across the superhero status of kale....it has loads of antioxidants, along with vitamin A, vitamin C, iron and zinc.
- Freshest in winter.
- Good for salads, soups, stir fry, smoothies (but we prefer the tender leaves of Tuscan Kale), steamed.
- Store in fridge, away from ethylene-producing fruit (apples, tomato, banana, kiwifruit, mango or guava). Don't pre-wash this. You can roll your kale in paper towel and store leaves in the fridge, up to a week but it can get bitter as time goes on, so use ASAP.
