Cucumber, Continental
Cucumber is 96% water—a good refreshing choice for a warm day. Its' crisp and cooling, with a very subtle flavour.
The continental or telegraph cucumber is dark green, around 30cm long and thin.
- Freshest all year round. Cucumbers are grown in the northern parts of Australia and are available all summer.
- Good for salads, condiments, healthy snack platters.
- Store in fridge crisper.
Top Tip
Add a bit of 'fancy' to your dinner plate by top and tailing a cucumber, removing skin, then use a vege peeler to peel down the flesh, creating long ribbons.
