Oh, sweet basil, what would we do without your pizzazz? You're the green in the Italian flag on our Margherita pizza, the punch in pesto, and the kick in pho soup.
Basil is from the mint family. You'll see Genovese, Thai, Sweet, Lemon, Bush / Greek, Cinnamon and Lettuce varieties about. But, we think this sweet basil is one of the prettiest with a uniform lush green leaf, and very sharp smell.
If you're making a 'herb bouquet', then this is the rose in the middle. Universally used and loved, you can add Basil to almost any main dish.
This is sweet basil, but we may have other varieties instore. Please do call to ask :)
