Galangal belongs to the Zingiberaceae (we just say ‘Zing’!) family of plants, along with turmeric, ginger and cardamom.
It's subtle but still zings! Thai soups and curries.

- Good for East Asian and Thai soups and curries (also called 'Thai Ginger').
- Store in refrigerator, wrapped, for ~7days. Or slice it thinly and place in a single layer in an airtight bag where you can press the air out and seal, then freeze for up to ~6 weeks (use frozen slices without thawing).
